Have you ever had a dream? Found yourself wishing for something more? Maybe you wanted a fulfilling job, to really make a difference in the world or maybe you just wanted a lot of money. Whatever the reason, most of us have dreams like this. Wishing seems to be in our nature; we want to be smarter, faster and more successful people. We want it all.
But oddly enough, despite having all these hopes and dreams very few of us actually get what we want. We’ll wish, hope and maybe even pray before sitting down and waiting for something to happen. Hoping has got to do something, right? Maybe if we believe hard enough our dreams will come true.
So how has that worked so far? Has your dream come true yet? Probably not.

Dreams can be good – they give us hope and motivation. They get us thinking about the future and all the possibilities it holds, but that’s all they do. Having a dream does nothing towards making it come true. You can think, dream and wish for a million dollars all you want, but none of that will increase your chances of getting rich. Hope is motivational and comforting but on its own is actually not productive at all. In order to make your dreams come true, you need vision. Vision is what takes your dreams and connects them to reality. It is your life map – it guides your decisions and actions so that one day your dreams can become a reality. Vision is what makes dreams come true.
You must constantly evaluate your life decisions. Ask yourself, “Does this move me closer to achieving my goals?” If the answer is no, find another way to do it. Don’t get stuck at the dead end job with little pay. Put yourself in the position to grow and continue to achieve. Take control of your future and never stop looking up. If something gets in your way, move it; if you find yourself on a path to nowhere, turn around. It’s your dream not anyone else’s; don’t expect them to care about it as much as you do. Read more…
